From time to time I assemble xenochronies with existing compositions and my own. Zenochrony is my latest assembly. Here I have overlapped (1) an excerpt from an original generative composition of mine with (2) a fragment from Frank Zappa's "Dwarf Nebula Processional March & Dwarf Nebula" and with (3) the same fragment, in reverse. The xenochrony concludes after 31s, followed by the full composition mentioned in (1).

Zenochrony couples the word "Zeno", meaning "a gift from Zeus", with "chrony", which refers to Chronos, meaning "time" and referring to Cronos god of time and father of Zeus.

I dedicate this track to Rosanna Nistico, creator and veritable soul of the What's Zappa facebook group, who kindly invited me to publish a Zappian xenochrony on her group. Here it is! ^_^
